There is a big difference between number and substance, especially when trying to meet targets.
A single person can out-perform a crowd.
Number is not necessarily the same as value.
Volume does not necessarily mean value.
Quantity is not necessarily synonymous with value.
Neither does every huge figure signify huge value.
Substance may not necessarily be found in the number of things that are visible to the eye.
What have you accumulated in a bid to meet your targets?
A person’s intrinsic value is much more important than possessions because possessions can be replaced.
Do you go after people’s money when marketing a product or do you aim at satisfying the person?
Your priority would often reflect in one way or the other and it affects the possibility of meeting targets.
What a person is capable of generating is sometimes more important than what has been previously generated, because situations could arise and there’ll be a need to start from scratch.
Don’t treat a customer badly after he has bought a product, whether or not you have met your target, because you might need him to buy again, someday. Or should I say, he might need you to sell again.
Most times, more sales are made from the unexpected than the targeted.
Do not neglect capacity while making a selection. Funny enough, track record may not guarantee the best selection, because some people break records and change trends.
People have crossed targets in amazingly unique ways.
People that make a difference are people of substance.
Why gather a crowd for what a single man can do?
Why not aim at developing each unique individual to standout in his or her own distinction and make a difference?
When one man can make a difference that one thousand men cannot, what would you call that?
Worth is in substance, not necessarily in number.
One single person can make all the difference you require in meeting your targets. One single product can as well make the difference that you have been looking out for.
As much as you study your prospective customers, feel free to study your products too.
When considering substance, I look out for the answer to this question; what difference can this make?
Value is not necessarily in number; certain other unique virtues add to the value of numbers.
You can meet your targets with just a few accounts while another marketer with numerous accounts is still far from the treshold.
If one man’s contribution is much greater than the sum of the contributions of all the rest, why wouldn’t I look away from the crowd and focus on the substance.
The goals you set, your aims and objective, the dreams you desire to reach and the expectations that people have of you, are all part of what we could refer to as target.
Life can be viewed from different perspectives. You must not necessarily be in business to be faced with the challenge of meeting targets. In whatever you do in life, it is important to consider substance and number.
I’ve got to be the best of myself because it’s obvious that life isn’t a competition.
In a crowd, people compare themselves and compete with one another.
Those who standout have their own standards.
They have their ideals and they work towards them, irrespective of what the crowd is doing.
I would say that those who make a difference have set their own targets and they stake all that they have to meet them, including people’s opinion about them.
Everybody talks, people get involved in arguments that they are not concerned with but results should convince, and not arguments.
Meet the targets, then you can be invited for seminars to lecture.
Substance stands out. Numbers are just figures until they are backed up with substance.
How can targets be met without substance?
Does it matter how many people were in attendance if only one person got the point?
If I can reach the world from my bedroom, what’s the point gathering a crowd into a hall?
If money can be transfered through electronic devices and the internet, why do we fill up books with documentation and carry cash around, through the streets?
Find substance and eliminate waste; that’s one way you can exceed your target.
Always differentiate substance from number. You’ll generate better results when you get the vital few that out-perform the trivial many.
You can meet your target by fishing out the few that matter most and focusing on them.
What do you spend your time, energy and money gathering?
Are you accumulating number or substance?
Is your effort yielding commensurate returns?
Have you thought about who or what will give you the quantum leap that you desire?
Have you derived a formular that would deliver results efficiently?
If you are having difficulty in meeting your targets, it’s time to differentiate substance from number!
