Philosophy: What Is Life All About?

What is life all about?
Philosophy is a method of reflective thinking and re-saved inquiry. Let us try our hands on some reflective thinking.
Life is certainly not about you alone, or what do you think?
Life is obviously not about me alone, well, that’s what I think.
With or without either of us, life goes on.
Thinking that life is all about self; the very popular and even subconscious notion, in my opinion, is some sort of aberration that requires disillusionment.
Aligning with the truth is all that matters.
We are part of something much bigger than ourselves.
The more we narrow our focus, attention and resources to ourselves alone, the more we miss the point. Likewise, the more we focus outwardly for protection, direction and solution, the more we miss the point.
But, the more we think selflessly, the more likely we are to discover what life is all about.
Life is not all about money.
Life is not all about education.
Life is not all about fame.
Life is not all about self.
What is life all about?

I would really love you to give some thought to life, for yourself.

I recently came across a concept that struck me.
A post: You Are A Unique Variety Of Divinity, caught my attention and got me pondering.
I extracted this quote from there:

“Every individual within the human family – offspring of God – should be an excellent expression of a unique variety of divinity.” ~Pastor WD Favour.

There is definitely something beyond our senses which we are part of.
Each individual is unique, yet there are numerous identical features that makes us human beings.
Every human being has a physiological, psychological and consciously or unconsciously, a philosophical dimension.
Our thoughts for ourselves and for one another seem to have an effect on the way life plays out for us both individually and collectively.
The world may be made up of different tribes with different skin colours, languages, cultures, religions and perspectives, yet the decisions and activities of the various individual units affect the entire unit.
The individual may be complete alone, yet the individual may complete a group that may inturn complete the globe.
Individuals may be connected to many groups and share many perspectives that may differ in values from each other, yet, they are interwoven.
We are all linked, one way or the other, and the earlier we awaken to the fact that we are one and bigger than we imagine, we can function better both individually and collectively.

Oh how educating, awakening and revealing another simple concept I came across is.
It’s in another blog post: Attraction to Natural Disasters.
I hope you are still pondering what life is all about?
There is pleasure, there is pain, some people live and some others die, yet life goes on.
What is the point of the struggle for survival and the competition to out possess or outshine one another, when death levels everything for each individual?
Some things like the natural disasters are just a sign to prove to humanity that there are forces beyond the control of individuals.
The natural beauty, the rainbows, the sunrise, sunset, the full moon, the half moon, the waterfalls, the caves, the mountains, the flowers and all the pleasing sights that we cannot control are also a sign pointing to the same fact.
Life is huge and massive.
Life links all existence.
We come and we go, but life goes on.
What impact can we make on life, with our existence? That’s what makes the difference.
A life shared with others and accomplishments that bring joy to many, far outweighs whatever we do for our own selves.
There is need for an awakening that will bring the truth to our consciousness.
The abuse and wickedness that we often experience from family, neighbours or enemies, is neither worth retaliating nor grieving over.
We can focus on spreading love, peace and joy by habouring them in our thoughts, wishing them to everyone and acting in alignment with such worthy values.
What are your own ideas about what life is all about?

About teeceecounsel

Who am I really? Can that be defined yet? Probably by the time I'm long gone and all the pieces of my activities are compiled and analysed then you can know what you want to know about me. Meanwhile, I write. Not because I love writing but because I love people. I love to care and love to share. I'm a deep thinker and I love to believe in the impossible. The ideal is attainable and a shot at it must be given. Don't say 'It won't work' rather ask 'how will it work? Nobody is ever doomed unless they made the choice. To resist good and to adopt evil is already doom. To loose hope is to choose doom but to believe that every step is a passing phase leading towards your hope is to choose progress. I may go on and on but my posts say it all. I don't force you to agree, I only say enjoy!

Wow, that was quite a post teeceecounsel…encompassing a wide range of perspectives. You touch on a key point that I struggle with…have struggled with since I came of age in college. I view the universe and planet earth as a chaotic powerful enigma that doesn’t give a damn whether we are here or not. Against this overarching principle or what I believe to be a truth, I observe mankind…past (from what I read of the past) and present, and ask myself…why have we created these chains that shackle our existence?

Why do we create such a limited concept as money and economics…when in reality…it is our energy that is the true currency. All that has been created has been done with the hand and the mind…not money. Yet, we cling to economics and money which results in the extremely rich (the few) and the rest…struggling to just get by.

Of course this is just the tip of the iceberg…considering war with weapons that can wipe out millions…potential destruction to the planet that can wipe out billions…treating the earth that gives us live like a garbage dump…I could go on and on.

I have extremely powerful utopian tendencies and dreams…probably because I played team sports all the way through college…and I know what people can do when they compete AND work together for a goal or goals. But…I get so discourage when I observe what is…and so I also contemplate the reality that a utopian vision based on cooperation is most likely a pipe dream…which means one has to focus on oneself and carve his or her path to the best of his or her ability…to make something out of live worth living.

  2. Hello my dear friend Tee.
You and I are seemingly aligned in our thinking and beliefs so often it sometimes runs chills up my spine. How can another soul know and think so alike my own? Easy we ARE as you say always connected. And I am so eve grateful that this is our truism.

The truth that you & I are in constant search for ourselves is what I believe allows us to live our authentic self.& life. I think because we as people are always growing, there by changing courses at times it is imperative we are truthful and real, and that we continue connecting to the attachments with others like you that we have made in our smaller personal world.
. We feed off one another in the loveliest of ways, I know this has everything to do with attitude and belief systems which makes it even more meaningful in my heart.

Thank you Tee for another stellar post, you keep spinning them I keep learning,
Much love and gentle hugs sent your way today ~ T

All I can say, is WHO KNOWS???

A girl at work said to me “of course life has no meaning… you have to put meaning into it” – you know. But in Australia here we had a renowned philanthropist, woman die at 103. The tv of course recapped her life. It was special, giving, generous, she touched so many lives with light and positivity.

AND YET, I STILL THOUGHT: what was the purpose in that 103, what was it all about? Philosophy leaves me flummoxed, it just does.

A very interesting thought to ponder on teeceecounsel ….what is our purpose in this Life, but then you always lead us to think outside the box which is very good.

How do we answer this Question that has been asked by many countless times over the ages, we remember first, that life on earth is but a neo second in Eternity and yet we choose our eternal Desterny while we life here, for Children untill they know right from wrong they are under grace and if they die they are accepted as redeemda and are purified, God is a just God.

Why did God create us, He tells us He Loves all those on earth but knows those who are His , those who will accept through repentace eternity with Him. He created us because He wanted to have fellowship with us as part of His Family, but He still wanted us to freely choose to Love Him with all our being as He Loved us, that is why He gave us free will and did not create us Puppets and this is the same with the Angles, all He created was good even Satan, who wants to be Loved by someone who has no choice.

God knew that Adam and Eve would fall into sin and so seperate themselves from Him, He knows all things from the begining to the end even before the Creation of the Universe, that is why His Creation was prepared from the begining to survive in a hostile land. Why did He still create us knowing that evil would come… because the good outweighed the bad and He knew in the end He would have the Victory and that He would restore His harmony to His creation and also to Him the value of just one person who repents and Loves Him with all their heart cannot be calculated, to God they are a pricless treasure.

When we really Love someone we don’t hurt them and we seek with all our heart to bring them Joy…this is what God wants for all of His redeemed Children and He has prepared in advance His good works, that He equips, empowers and motivates us to do and then He rewards us for our faithfulness and so we have great inner Joy.

What is our purpose in Life…it is to be Loved and blessed by God and to Love Him in return, with all our heart, soul and mind and also to Love others the same regardless of the cost.

Christmas Love and Many Blessings teeceecounsel from both of us – Anne.
