What Is Your Stand In Life?
If life were to be literature, in which genre would you speciallize? Would you write narratives, scripts or poems?
If you were a playwrite, what would be your theme, who would be your characters and what role would you play? (if at all you would like to feature)
If only novelists existed, what would have been your plight? Would you have given up on life or would you have created masterpieces that would keep everyone else too engrossed to think of their own works?
If each human were a poet and the poems we write were our realities, what would be your stand in the world of poetry?
Would you bamboozle your readers with figures of speech or restore sanity to humanity with rhymes and rhythm?
Opinions differ, ideas contrast, perspectives diverge, individuals are unique…
What is your stand in life?
Some say life is a game, others say life is war.
Some say we have enemies, others say we have countetparts.
Whose report are we to believe?
If really life were a game, who decides the rules of the game?
If really life is war, what determines victory and when…?
What really is your stand?
We are complete and yet part of a whole.
Only love can make us one.
We are unique and complement each other,
but only love can make us see how.
Whatever be our roles and whoever we have become, a time always comes when we have to take a stand.
A stand to say the truth and a stand to forgive or let go.
In the face of such a time, please what will be your stand?
Whether my weapons are words or my equipment are instruments, my motive must be love.
In time, in space and in all identifiable forms, we will be best expressed if we answer this question for ourselves;
What is your stand in life?
Nnamonu Tochukwu.
Teecee.
Philosophical poetry, poem, food for thought, questions, ponders… Bothering around the question; what is your stand?
Do you appreciate literature, poetry, drama, prose, war or games? Are you a playwright, novelist, poet, musician or artist?
Take some time and ponder your motives.
For me, it is love. What about you?
