My Philosophies addressed; assumptions, facts and truth.
Recently, a question that got me pondering, was aksed;
Isn’t a fact something that’s true by definition?
In my opinion, facts are temporarily true, or appear to be true, even if they are not. Facts can change but the truth cannot.
Infact, by definition, fact means something known or believed to be true.
Truth, on the other hand refers to trueness, which is the state of being true.
Facts may or may not agree with the truth, because they are based on the interpretations of our senses and knowlege.
The fact that we are not aware of something does not nullify the existence of such a thing.
The fact that we believe some something to be true does not equally make that thing true.
For example, we can say that dead leaves sieze to be green after they have died. But in reality, we find leaves remaining green for a while after being disconnected from a branch. I have seen stammerers quit stammering, alchoholics quit drinking and different things that were believed to be true about some people, change with time. If it is true that a certain man is poor, how is it that some years down the line, he is rich? How can you say that it is true that I am sad, when only a tickle can get me smiling the next moment?
Facts may be true for a while, but can be changed by people, circumstances and information.
The truth never changes, generations meet it the same. Truth is not subject to opinion, neither can it be manipulated. The truth always was, always is and will always be. Existence or reality is subject to the truth, not the other way round.
What explanation can you give to the mysteries behind Bermuda triangle?
How did the orbits form around the sun?
What generated the winds, lightenings and the thunder that follow?
The bulk of the facts that we see or sense cannot give us a conclusive inference, in other words, we learn by observing and exploring nature. Most of our conclusions are still assumptions because there are often exceptions. Scientific research and knowlege is limited to what we can sense and study or experiment with. Truth is what is irrespective of circumstances. Facts are supposed to be the evidence of truth, but they can be manipulated or misinterpreted, due to ignorance, human limitations or the deceitfulness of man.
Few centuries ago, facts had it that the world was flat. Today, everybody believes that it is spherical.
Truth governs reality. Truth holds everything in place. Truth endures forever. Truth never changes.
Facts change but truth never changes.
To some people, life is vast and seemingly complicated.
To some other people, life is narrow and extremely simple.
Is life really subjected to the opinions of any particular group of people?
Is life dependent on any school of thought?
Deciphering certain things may only bring further confusions.
In my opinion, convictions are often based on faith and not fact. Human systems are flawed because facts are often manipulated in the favour of personal interest.
True peace is a reward of alignment to truth.
The conflicts, fears, lack, insecurity, doubt and anxiety that we keep experiencing can only be stilled when we trust the right way.
When true love binds the whole world together and we stop seeing ourselves as seperate entities, we will experience peace, joy and abundance.
We ought to complement one another.
Life is not a competition but a collaboration.
Very often, the things that we see are an aberation.
The truth may not be seen, but it can be known.
Alignment with the truth is true success and is the path to fulfilment.
The truth is neither influenced by personalities nor bribes.
Just the same way gravity governs bodies of mass, truth governs life.
Facts are simply expressions of reality. Realities can be changed and that’s simply why facts change along.
Truth is eternal and cannot be manipulated.
Alignment with the truth makes everything to fall perfectly in place.
Accepting the truth, believing the truth, living in accordance to the truth eliminates struggles and competition.
Submit to the truth and be lifted up.
There is still a lot to be discovered.
Life is beautiful when aligned with truth.
Thanks, Bumbastories; for stopping by and inspiring a new post.
I’m really wondering or should I say pondering?
Is this the truth about facts or the facts about truth?
Some food for thought on assumption, facts and truth.
The Truth About Facts Or The Facts About Truth?
