Very often, we insist on our opinions and develop irritating emotions when our expectations are neither met nor accepted. Sometimes, the same irritations begin to affect other circumstances negatively. That’s why you may hear of terms like transfered agression. We are in charge of our states of mind and emotions. Taking the responsibility to remain calm and positive, irrespective of circumstances and conditions, often accords us the necessary conditions to change the situation.
Sometimes you just have to accept that someone or some situation is not going to go the way you want. Instead of being stubborn and trying to force the issue, try a new approach. Try agreeing to disagree, or try accepting that your way may not be the best way – at least not at the moment. Once you relinquish your desire to control this situation you may find you view it from a different perspective.
This may well lead you to view other situations from a different perspective in the future.
Today could be your first day on that journey.
“ Frustration is NOT created as a result of conditions, certain conditions are created as a RESULT of frustration. ”
– Neale Donald Walsch
