Rest Poem: Use Your Brakes Or Take A Break

Take A Break To Rest

Once in a while, its good to take a break.
That’s the reason why, every car has a brake.
Optimize your routine by including brief breaks.
When you drive for a while, you’ll appreciate the brakes.

Run for a while then take a break,
every driver knows when to use the brake.
To maintain a smooth flow there should be room for breaks.
Certain car maneuvers are only possible with brakes.

Insert a break or the flow could break.
Failure to apply the brake can get any car to break.
Whenever systems fail, it’s certain that the flow breaks.
A Vehicle which fails with brakes often reveals how a body breaks.

Introducing shifts can make room for a break.
Transmission and gears serve as backup for the brake.
Alternatives and reserves enable smooth flows with breaks.
Manual manipulation of gears can cushion the effect of failed brakes.

My body needs a break,
I don’t think I should deprive it.
I really don’t want to break,
body and brain must get some rest.

About teeceecounsel

Who am I really? Can that be defined yet? Probably by the time I'm long gone and all the pieces of my activities are compiled and analysed then you can know what you want to know about me. Meanwhile, I write. Not because I love writing but because I love people. I love to care and love to share. I'm a deep thinker and I love to believe in the impossible. The ideal is attainable and a shot at it must be given. Don't say 'It won't work' rather ask 'how will it work? Nobody is ever doomed unless they made the choice. To resist good and to adopt evil is already doom. To loose hope is to choose doom but to believe that every step is a passing phase leading towards your hope is to choose progress. I may go on and on but my posts say it all. I don't force you to agree, I only say enjoy!

  1. I couldn’t agree more, “My body needs a break,
    I don’t think I should deprive it.
I really don’t want to break,
body and brain must get some rest.” Wonderful poetry!

    • I’m glad you like those lines! 🙂
Breakdown can be avoided you know? Prevention is better than cure. We’ve got to take good care of our bodies so that we don’t stop the flow. Thanks!

You’ve been tagged in the tagging game! You’re under no obligation to play, hope you enjoy!

  3. I started my spring vacation with more things to do than I would have wanted…so even though I did not feel I needed the break…now I do, because I can do other stuff but at a much nicer pace than the one I’m on every other day of the week…Thank you Teecee 🙂

    • You are always welcome, Alexandra.
Life is much more fun when we are desperate about it.
To hope for the best, to believe in the best and to live one day at a time, working towards the best with an expectant heart often guarantees the best.
I’m glad that you appreciate the fact that rest should be part of routine.
I expect the best for you.
