Poem; Slow And Steady Wins The Race

Slow and steady wins the race,
not withstanding the pace.
Progress is foward movement,
a twin sibling of advancement.

Slow and steady wins the race,
not minding what we face.
It takes gradual development
and steady improvement.

Slow and steady wins the race,
it does it with great grace.
Winning without manipulation,
consistently good intension.

Slow and steady wins the race,
do you want to trace?
This may be my impression,
but I’ve drawn my conclusion.

Literature, according to the books in schools, comprises of Drama, Poetrty and Prose. The above piece matches the category of Poetry is called a Poem. I wonder if the first people that wrote poems knew a word called literature and whether they were aware that their pieces would ever be called poems. But they continued in their uniqueness and patterns were formed after them. This 4-line stanza poem can be called a quatrain. It has a rhyme scheme aabb. This poem has four stanzas, otherwise called verses. There are other parameters such as rhythm, scale and metre. But I’ll rather define some things that can be simply understood. Assonance is the repetition of vowel sounds in a line of poem, while aliteration is the repetition of consonants in a line of poem. All of these effects simply have to do with sound. To enjoy a poem, the inner voice in your mind has to read along with you. Poems always have a message, but they also have effects. All of these patterns and nomenclature were people’s idea, simply generated form the observation of pieces other people wrote. There probably was a time that documentation had to be done and some kind or form of category had to house similar pieces. The names and groups were probably generated for recording purposes. I believe that we are still unique and can think outside the box. See: The Box Mentality. We can get creative and do things that have no form, so that probably in the future, our works can be analysed and categories can be formed with new nomenclature to identify them.

I studied Engineering and as you can see, I Love Writing. I’m enjoying psychology and I love music too. Human beings were not formed in compartments, like we’ve done with this literary piece. Be free to explore your potentials and to express your thoughts. Be true to yourself, follow your desire, filfil your dream and your legacy will speak for you.

Slow and steady wins the race,
moving on without disgrace,
continuing without hesitation
despite the diverse inhibition.

Slow and steady wins the race,
you’ll gradually become an ace.
Keep resisting the temptation
to be disrupted by distraction.

Slow and steady wins the race,
whether or not you can afford a lace.
Don’t bother about impression.
Stick to your unique expression.

Slow and steady wins the race,
this can also become your case,
if you fortify your inspiration
and intensify your determination.

You are made unique, nothing forces you to conform.
Find out who you are by listening to yourself.
Discover yourself and keep it real.

Slow and steady wins the race.

About teeceecounsel

Who am I really? Can that be defined yet? Probably by the time I'm long gone and all the pieces of my activities are compiled and analysed then you can know what you want to know about me. Meanwhile, I write. Not because I love writing but because I love people. I love to care and love to share. I'm a deep thinker and I love to believe in the impossible. The ideal is attainable and a shot at it must be given. Don't say 'It won't work' rather ask 'how will it work? Nobody is ever doomed unless they made the choice. To resist good and to adopt evil is already doom. To loose hope is to choose doom but to believe that every step is a passing phase leading towards your hope is to choose progress. I may go on and on but my posts say it all. I don't force you to agree, I only say enjoy!
