Where Will I Go Today?

Where will I go today?
Should I seek solitude,
meet the multitude,
grow my gratitude
or analyse atitude?

Where will I go today?
To where others go?
To put up a show?
To just spoil my flow?
or to just go spend some dough?

Where will I go today?
Where there’s stuff to say,
where my role will play,
where I’ll miss my way,
or just where I’ll waste a day?

Where will I go today?
To fulfil obligation,
carry out instruction,
attract an allegation,
or free up frustration?

Where will I go today?
Isn’t it my decision?
If it’s by compulsion,
then that’s an aberration.
I’ll tag that “violation”.

Where will I go today?
I need inspiration,
probably motivation
for specific action.
Hence this contemplation.

Where will I go today?
You require my conclusion?
That may be an intrusion,
considering our distinction.
Try your own contemplation.

Where will I go today?
To the most beneficial
and relevantly influencial.
I’ll shun the superficial
and sideline the artifical.

Where will I go today?
Should I take a suggestion,
give a suggestion
or settle for deliberation
on this situation?

Where will I go today?
Will I do a dance,
watch others’ dance
or take a random chance
in this instance?

Where will I go today?
Am I to take the things they brought,
give them all the things I’ve got
or just share the things I thought,
in accordance with what is taught?

Where will I go today?
Or must I even go?
Who do I even owe?
Why must I join a row?
Nobody seems to know.

Why will I go today?
Is something wrong with home?
Why must I drift and roam?
Or stay beneath a dome.
Anyone who cares can come.

In taking tough decisions,
consider all possible options.
Set the rules of your game,
like “who wants to be a milliomare”:
Phone a friend, fifty-fifty or walk away.
Life often offers few life-lines, but the choice is yours to make.

If this is really my issue:
where should I go today?
I call the shots, I’ll make my choice, stay in charge of my decisions and face the resulting consequences.

Poetry. A poem on decision and choice. Using questions to stirr reflection. A perfect piece to decifer direction while questioning tradition and suggesting liberation. Encouraging unique expression. Another tool for effectiveness and freedom.

About teeceecounsel

Who am I really? Can that be defined yet? Probably by the time I'm long gone and all the pieces of my activities are compiled and analysed then you can know what you want to know about me. Meanwhile, I write. Not because I love writing but because I love people. I love to care and love to share. I'm a deep thinker and I love to believe in the impossible. The ideal is attainable and a shot at it must be given. Don't say 'It won't work' rather ask 'how will it work? Nobody is ever doomed unless they made the choice. To resist good and to adopt evil is already doom. To loose hope is to choose doom but to believe that every step is a passing phase leading towards your hope is to choose progress. I may go on and on but my posts say it all. I don't force you to agree, I only say enjoy!

I like this article. Was tempted to use some of those rhymes in a song. Will need a copyright for that. Well done!
