The Best Way To Change Is To Change

Every child is born naked and virtually helpless. No, I should rather say; totally dependent. It takes quite a while before we begin to notice signs that the child can respond to visuals or audios. Crying and sleeping seems to be the only alternatives for and infant. None of these things, for a moment, means that this child does not have the potential to do all the wonderful things that full grown adults do.
Do you know how wonderful it is for a human being to stand erect on two feet?
You may never have noticed how long it took you to develope that skill, not because it was not time consuming and strainous, but because you probably had not developed the mental stamina to memorize and recollect. You probably were busy trying to get used to your name and those of the people around you, at that time.
Today, there are a lot of things you do that a baby cannot do. I should have added “yet”. Sure, it should rather go like this: there are a lot of things you do now, that a baby cannot do yet.
Good! I’m sure that you agree with me on this. Smiles!
Babies have the potential to do a lot. Potential here refers to a capacity or a resource that cannot be accessed or utilized yet but has the likelihood of being tapped into at the right time.
What determines the right time for a baby?
Have you watched a baby try to walk?
I mean one who is still in the process of acquiring the skill. The baby puts in so much energy and time; trying the same thing over and over again. The limbs may appear too feeble and weak but the baby doesn’t mind.
It’s a beautiful thing to learn from babies.
They may crawl to a chair or to someone’s legs or hand and do their best to stand and walk. Babies keep doing this until they get both strong and skilled enough to take a few steps without aid.
You may also notice that sometimes they stick to crawling. Habits are developed but must be broken before remarkable changes can take place.
Some babies may have developed the strength to stand but, because they are accustomed to crawling, they begin to get comfortable the way they are.
In life, certain changes are gradual and cannot be accelerated while some are a matter of choice, decision or starting.
Whether change is swift or slow, it must be instigated.
In Physics, it is proven that a body at rest continues to remain at rest until acted upon by a force. Likewise, a body in motion continues to be in motion until acted upon by a force.
Change is similar to moving a body at rest or stopping a body in motion.
Change does not come with time but with force.
Certain changes will definitely take place faster than some others but that does not mean that change is only dependent on time. Without force, time will leave the situation as it is, if not worse.
Nature has weeds that grow. If a patch of land is left to time, it would grow into a bush and habour creatures that may turn out harmful or counter productive.
A man who intends to develope a plantain plantation would acquire the land, gather seeds, plant them and maintain all the necessary conditions that enhance growth until the harvet time. If at any phase, the man leaves his intentions to time, weeds may take over and kill the seeds or something else just terminates the intention.
Change means to cause a differnce, to give something another look, to make one thing or situation to become another, to transform, substituting one thing for another, etc. Change may have to do with feelings, locations, tangible things, circumstances, etc.
Our lives are made up of numerous facets and we often have dreams for each facet that does not correspond with our reality or circumstances.
To make our circumstances to conform to our dreams and desires we must change.
Like the babies, we must grow into the scenario where our potentials are completely explored.
Nothing in life should be left to time and chance, even though they have their place.
Remember that change comes by force and not necessarily by time.
A certain force applied on a certain object may have an increasing impact as time passes, which means that consistent force can make more impact than just a jet.
Time without force will not bring dreams to realization. As I said before in one of my previous posts; Stop Worrying; Start Figuring and Continue Working!, that work done is determined by a relationship that involves force applied in a certain direction and the distance that the body in question moves, in the direction of the applied force.
I just hope that I’m not confusing you with all of those technicalities. To cause change, there must be some force applied in a certain direction.
To change, you must know your desires.
To cause change, you must have facts about the current position or situation and you must also have a clear picture of the intended position or situation.
You must find practical steps that would complete the transition process.
If those steps are not taken, the effect of the passing time may simply be retrogression or stagnancy but most probably not progress.
These steps or forces being applied to reach our dreams may range from tangible to intangible things. For example, thoughts are neither visible nor tangible, but if put to use, they are powerful.
Concepts may not be felt or experienced, but when implemented, they may be phenomenal.
Change may even be directed towards such intangible things that other people may not be able to identify instantanously but the point still remains that change come with force.
We have limited time to live on the earth and that’s why we must apply the necessary force that would provide us the necessary results that we desire, within the space of time that we have available to us.
Habits would need to be broken, mindsets would have to be adjusted, traditions have to give way, impressions have to be ignored and new dimensions would have to be explored in other to have change.
To become another, you have to become another.
To do things differently, you have to do things differently.
To change, it is important that you change.
People are not used to the unusual.
Change means moving away from the usual things.
Not everybody understands change because it brings in the new, and new has never existed. New is simply new, so nobody has experienced it before.
To bring in new things, you may have to do new things and that is why change is often resisted and fought.
Have you personaly resisted change?
Have you been wishing, without stepping up to the responsibility of the fact that you must play your own role?
Are you willing to change your thoughts and your actions?
Are you willing to drop old habits and to learn new things?
Do you still cloud your senses with the facts of your previous achievement and accomplishments?
Is your reasoning still in accordance with the old ways?
Remember, all of that is synonymous with the previous results.
Do you want to continue experiencing the same things you are accustomed to?
If not, the time to change is now.
Open up your mind to learn both the path and the steps to the new destination.
Learn and impliment the requirements.
If change is necessary, then do the necessary things to bring it to fruition.
If you know what to do, then just do it.
It is as simple as that. The very best way to do a thing is to do it.

About teeceecounsel

Who am I really? Can that be defined yet? Probably by the time I'm long gone and all the pieces of my activities are compiled and analysed then you can know what you want to know about me. Meanwhile, I write. Not because I love writing but because I love people. I love to care and love to share. I'm a deep thinker and I love to believe in the impossible. The ideal is attainable and a shot at it must be given. Don't say 'It won't work' rather ask 'how will it work? Nobody is ever doomed unless they made the choice. To resist good and to adopt evil is already doom. To loose hope is to choose doom but to believe that every step is a passing phase leading towards your hope is to choose progress. I may go on and on but my posts say it all. I don't force you to agree, I only say enjoy!

  5. I really like this part:
“If change is necessary, then do the necessary things to bring it to fruition.
If you know what to do, then just do it.
It is as simple as that. The very best way to do a thing is to do it.”
It’s really spot on. I hope I can change right away.
