The True Meaning Of Love

The true meaning of love is an important subject which we must not neglect, if we desire to find fulfilment in life.
Love seems to have many definitions these days. It is obviously one word that keeps being surrounded by lots of attachment as the years count. Love means different things to different people at different times. Love has confused many, rescued many, surprised many and eluded many. Could it really be love that has done all of these?
Could love be good and bad at the same time?
Love is a word and we probably have to figure out some things about it, if we must define it right.
Let’s do some reflection that would certainly help us to ascertain the true meaning of love.

Is love a feeling or an impression?
Is love an understanding or an expression?
Is love tangible or intangible?
Is love a thing or a person?
Is love a friend or an enemy?
Is love real or is it a fairy tale?
Is love for me or for someone else?

The meaning of a word is derived from numerous things; whether it’s a verb or whether it’s a noun, whether it’s a thing or whether it’s a place, whether it’s for men or whether it’s for women, whether it is felt or whether it’s only seen, whether it exists and whether it does not, whether it’s singular or could have a plural form, what it could be and what it could not be. The list of what makes “a thing” a thing, is really endless.
That’s like embarking on a mission to find what makes me to be me.

Love can be defined; not only by it’s meaning but also by it’s properties.
And if we know that love can be many things, it is also wise to know the things that love cannot be.

Love is commitment,
love is dedication,
love lingers,
love never quits.

Love is pure,
love has no ill intensions,
love does not pretend,
Love is straight foward.

Love treats wounds,
love figures out a way,
love complements,
love solves problems

Love is not lazy,
love is not scared,
love does not destroy,
love does not harm

love is beautiful,
love is sweet,
love is fun,
love is cool

love can wait,
love is patient,
love endures,
love is tenecious

love is considerate,
love is generous,
love accomodates,
love forgives.

Now we seem to have some clues to many dimensions that point us to the true meaning of love.
I believe that love is powerful and famous but also happens to be humble.
There are now numerous impersonators parading themselves as love.
Love has been counterfeited but because it is worth much, you must find a way to identify the real.
Love may be intense fondness or may have a lot to do with pleasure but not everything that matches these requirements is love.
Love may roam in families and in quite some relationships but not everything you see in these spheres is love.
There is love in romance and there is love in work, but once again, not everything that falls into those domains is love.
Love has no duplicate and love is not static
but we shouldn’t hinge on that to say we have found love.
We should rather seek to ensure that we arm ourselves with the true meaning of love.

In every sphere of life, be ready to encounter love.
Love may not be loud but it surely can be felt.
Love may look like mum or may even sound like dad but beyond what you can sense is love seeking expression.
Love is responsible, love truly cares and though situations get tough and rough, love would be with you.
Love may not appear in the form you expect, but love will deliver.
Even when love does not sound nice, love always means well.
Love will not take undue advantage and love is never cruel.
Love seeks to know your own view but always has the best.
Counterfeits are masquerading; parading themselves as love.
Many innocent but ignorants are yeilding themselves for prey.
Fakes dress like love and wear his perfume and ignorant ones watch him.
He’ll stretch a bait and dangle it and they fall into his trap.
Don’t be deceived by appearance, love goes far beyond that.
Don’t feel that love is scarce, dump the fake right now.
Your fears, your doubts, your unbelief; are what the fake takes advantage of.
Love is bold and does things right, he’ll pay the full price.
I just know that love is real and is somewhere there for you.
In all your getting, please get love and your life will turn to fun.
Love is in me, love is in you but you’ve got to give it chance.
Don’t insist on your own way, love has got the best for you.
Find the true meaning of love and live a life that defines love.

About teeceecounsel

Who am I really? Can that be defined yet? Probably by the time I'm long gone and all the pieces of my activities are compiled and analysed then you can know what you want to know about me. Meanwhile, I write. Not because I love writing but because I love people. I love to care and love to share. I'm a deep thinker and I love to believe in the impossible. The ideal is attainable and a shot at it must be given. Don't say 'It won't work' rather ask 'how will it work? Nobody is ever doomed unless they made the choice. To resist good and to adopt evil is already doom. To loose hope is to choose doom but to believe that every step is a passing phase leading towards your hope is to choose progress. I may go on and on but my posts say it all. I don't force you to agree, I only say enjoy!
