Must every hunger taste a meal?
Must every thirst sip a drink?
Some appetites should be put on check and some desires must be calmed.
Certain chances may be enthising but taking hold of them could spell doom.
Not every free meal is truely free.
Be sure before you get involved.
A thrilling adventure, a daring escapade,
a risky business or a dicey affair.
These may be fun while they last but
draw the thin line between safety and risk!
Some things generate excitement but expose the ones involved to risk.
Some others are outright crimes but feel like the cool thing to do.
Evaluate your desires and drives,
filter them and sift off chaff,
make healthy choices and be a worthy model; gratifying only worthy desires.
I once made a related comparism.
I asked the question; Fulfilment Or Acquisition?
This time around I’m considering the emotion.
Check before gratification!
It’s not about what’s in vogue but about how you feel afterwards.
Properly consider gratification and don’t forget to ask: Who Is In Charge?

beautiful 🙂
Thanks for appreciating it. I agree with you, following the popular does not necessarily mean getting satisfaction. We’ve got to evaluate what to follow.
